We have been introduced with the sedans that come with the digital side mirrors but this is the first time this state-of-the-art technology is applied onto a truck.
We present you the Mercedes-Benz Actros 2019 that is described as “The safest, most efficient, and best-connected truck ever.”
Mercedes-Benz Actros 2019 is the first truck to be equipped with digital side view mirrors
This is the first truck that comes with digital side mirrors after Virtual mirrors on the Audi e-Tron and the Digital Side-View Monitors on the Lexus ES.
The safety in the Mercedes-Benz Actros 2019 is significantly enhanced by the equipment of the two cameras set in the place of the traditional mirrors. The live view of the surrounding will be sent to 2 15-inch screens on the two pillars in the cabin.

Not only boosting the safety inside the car but the arrival of the smaller and more aerodynamic digital mirrors also helps the car reduce its cost on fuel.
Apart from the new digital viewing units, it is the Actros Cockpit that is lighting the interior up. It features 2 interactive infotainment screens which we can see in the latest Mercedes-Benz models.
The connectivity is a strong point of the Mercedes-Benz Actros 2019 which allows wireless charging and connectivity via Android Auto or Apple CarPlayTM.
The Active Brake Assist will stop the car itself when detecting someone passing by

The upgraded Active Drive Assist, the same as the one we saw in the Volvo truck Jean-Claude Van Damme starred with in a commercial, aids the active lane keeping assistance in steering the truck back into the correct lane.
The Active Brake Assist doesn’t wait for the driver to engage the brake but will stop itself when detecting someone passing by or any vehicle in front that’s getting too close the truck.
